Plex

Plex is a second way to watch the movies and shows here. Unlike everything else on this site, it doesn't use your account — it uses your own free Plex account, and Oscar shares the library with you.

Most people should use Jellyfin instead. Plex is here for devices where Plex's app works better, or if you're already used to it.

Getting access

  1. Make a free account at plex.tv if you don't have one.
  2. Send Oscar the email address or username of your Plex account and ask to be added.
  3. You'll get an email from Plex inviting you to the server. Click Accept.

Watching

  • In a browser: go to app.plex.tv and sign in with your Plex account.
  • On a phone, TV, or streaming stick: install the Plex app and sign in with the same Plex account.

Either way, the shared libraries show up in the sidebar under the server's name.

Hide the ads and free movies

Plex mixes in its own free movies and live TV. To see just this server's library, open More (or the sidebar) and pin the shared libraries, then unpin Plex's own sections.

Requests

To ask for a movie or show that isn't in the library, use Seerr. New things appear in Plex too once they're ready.
